For four generations the members of the Koglot family have preserved, with respect and diligence, our century-old homestead and vineyards around Vrtojba and elsewhere across the Vipava Valley. Wine has always been present, and in the second half of the last century winegrowing became our predominant activity.
As true “Vrtojbans”, we have always been faithful to the land and are aware that it gives us as much as the love and effort we invest in the vineyard throughout the year. The vine demands much attention and care — pruning, bending, tying and removing side shoots — so that in autumn, at the harvest, it rewards us with excellent grapes. Careful hands pick the grapes and press them into juice, and then time, patience and the creativity of our experienced cellar master Zorin ensure that it is reborn as a noble drop.
